EVE needs WiS... CCP cant get money they need only from bitter vets... EVE needs new players and you all know that new players dont stick to EVE es much as to other games... ppl like MMORPG role playing game... ppl like to say:
"I am this sexy girl that everyone wants to see in station but not in space because I bring terror in space"
"you see me down, lets talk... you see me up, you are dead"
thats play-stile ppl wants and thats what brings more money... without that its stagnation... and in years death of EVE because there will be game for CCP with beter income then EVE... |

look at youtube... i saw few tryouts that young players gave to EVE... they play for 30 minutes, get frustrated and deinstall EVE... all ppl see is ship... and what to do... where am I... who am I... and other questions they ask but no answer...
and... where is interaction with other players???
in chat box???
for that there is MSN, ICQ and other aplications...
only real interaction in eve is when your missile hits other ship... and for new player that is when his ship explodes...
there need to be layers which intrigue player for space... and involve player in story of eve like a person... because we are persons and thats the easiest way...
and one more thing... give noobs some place where they can chill with others and feel safe and equal... |

You know what, its a good thing that people like them don't join eve. Some games aren't meant for the masses, this is one of the reasons I play Eve personally. I dont want this game to become a MMO for a broad audience. Look at the crap WoW has become (I still remember the game from before the first addon).
EvE cant become that... eve requires a brain... and nothing can change that... stupid ppl will leave EVE with or without incarna... just with incarna some ppl with brain that would left now will stay because they can say "here I am" |

Now if you go just a little bit further in thinking, you would realize that Incarna, as it was, has exactly the same problem. "where is interaction with other players???" . Yes - in a chat box. Except that in a background there is not a spaceship, but some avatar. Contrary to that avatar, spaceship can also fire missiles, you know. Unless you call showing pants in some bar an "interaction" . Incarna would have been quite nice (although without much sense) eye-candy addition to a main game, except that an addition needs something to be added to. It happened, that limit on development resources presented a harsh choice - main thing without addition, or addition with nothing to be added to. CCP (and us too) has been overly optimistic, thought that choice can be avoided.
look a little in screen when you play eve... in 99% of cases you dont see anything because you play it so zoomed out... and only thing that say to to that you are "not alone" is some text in overview...
that feeling of loneliness is what multiplayer avatar system would fix... + yea... eye-candy is plus too... :)

Just recently CCP changed all the mission agents to Qlvl 20 and removed or redone them to security and distribution (?) instead of different specializations. Its those little changes that accumulate over time and go unnoticed per se but in the end the game becomes more and more shallow. Whether these changes are good or not is up to discussion, I for one would like them to improve a feature if its not used or neglected, instead of removing it.

thats not because Incarna... and we should make noise to devs about that little things that hurt eve and not be against future development of EVE...
about your Edit:
i like to be alone in RL sometimes too... and when i need to get things done... but... after that i go out to see my friends face to face... and you cant say that e-mail or phone conversation is the same as have a beer with friend... (ok... ok... i know someone will say its the same... but... De gustibus (et coloribus) non est disputandum... and we are talking about normal social ppl (there is saying in Sociology "Humans are social animal"))
p.s.
i like to have normal conversation on this forums for a change...
